⚠️ DIRECTIONAL ARROW: You MUST install the valve so the molded arrow points in the direction of the water flow!

🚨 HIGH WATER PRESSURE (Vertical Mount OK): If your mainline pump is exceptionally powerful, vertical installation is acceptable. The strong flow will push the massive flap open, and the heavy reverse water column will snap it shut.

🚨 LOW/GRAVITY PRESSURE (Horizontal Mount REQUIRED): If you are using this on a low-pressure return or gravity drain, you MUST install this valve horizontally (flat)! In a vertical setup, low pressure will struggle to lift the heavy flap, and weak backpressure will fail to seal it. Horizontal mounting allows gravity to help seal the flap perfectly.
