Q: Can I use these manual shears to cut standard Schedule-40 PVC drainage pipes?
A: It is not recommended for standard fast-shear models. Thick-walled PVC has high structural rigidity. Squeezing direct-shear handles on thick PVC requires extreme force, which can easily cause hand pain or fracture the brittle pipe wall.
